Julie Andrews - My Favorite Things
When the dog bites
When the bee stings
When I’m feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things

Most of the time we don’t realize how something so small can make a difference. I was finishing an unit about food with my class earlier today. So I brought the material and recipe for a microwave cake. While we were mixing the ingredients one of the students said how that cake made her day better, as she had a boring meeting at work later on.
I found the recipe at www.panelaterapia.com - it was originally with Ovomaltine (Ovaltine), but I just used the chocolate I found first at home.
1 (medium) egg
1 tablespoon of oil
2 tablespoons of sugar
2 tablespoons of chocolate powder *
2 tablespoons of flour
1 coffeespoon of baking soda
Beat it all together in a mug (200 ml) and put it in the microwave for 1.5 minute. The cooking time varries from one oven to another, so test to see if the cake is ready. (Just put in a fork, knife, toothpick, if it comes out clean, it’s ready.)
*If you want a different flavor, substitute the chocolate for another thing. I added 2 of coconut because I like it with chocolate.
WOW. What a view. I know in my heart who created this <3
Wow!

Então eu direi: abra-se o mar. E eu passarei pulando e dançando em Sua presença (And I’ll say: sea, open up. And I shall pass jumping and singing in the Lord’s presence)
